Jaco Visagie and Tony Jantjies are back for the Vodacom Blue Bulls Under-21 side and will return to Ellis Park on Friday, this time to take on the MTN Golden Lions Under-21 team.
Both played for the Vodacom Blue Bulls senior side in the Absa Currie Cup against the Golden Lions in Johannesburg last weekend, but have been released to play age group rugby this weekend.
Visagie is back in the starting line-up as hooker, while Jantjies will play off the bench. With Visagie back, regular captain and no8 Ruan Steenkamp return to the back of the pack.
The Vodacom Blue Bulls Under-21 team to play the Golden Lions Under-21s is: Jacques Rossouw, Jade Stighling, Dries Swanepoel, Christoper Bosch, Travis Ismaiel, Kobus Marais, Rudi van Rooyen, Ruan Steenkamp, Clyde Davids (c), Roelof Smit, Irne Herbst, Jannes Kirsten, Hencus van Wyk, Jaco Visagie, Justin Forwood. Replacements: Jan Enslin, Du Toit Genis, Dennis Visser, Shaun Adendorff, Carlo Engelbrecht, Tony Jantjies, Damian van Wyk.
Kriel to start at flyhalf
A fit-again Jesse Kriel will add another jersey to his Vodacom Blue Bulls Under-19 collection on Friday when he will play at flyhalf when his side takes on the Golden Lions Under-19s in Johannesburg.
Kriel has regularly played at fullback and also at outside centre this season. He will also lead the side who is looking for their 10th consecutive win in the Absa Under-19 Provincial Championship.
Johann Bannink will also start at tight head, with Dayan van der Westhuizen moving to the bench.
