The Springboks are coming home to Loftus Versfeld! On 16 August 2014, Loftus Versfeld, scene of many epic Springbok victories, will be hosting the Castle Lager Rugby Championship match between our beloved Springboks and Argentina.

This test, hosted on behalf of the South African Rugby Union (SARU), will kick off the Springbok’s mission to be crowned Castle Lager Rugby Championships winners for 2014 and to lay down an early marker to next year’s Rugby World Cup in England.

The competition, an evolution of the Tri-Nations tournament that was first contested in 1996, has been delivering top class rugby from the start and when Argentina was added to the list to join South Africa, New Zealand and Australia to form the Castle Lager Rugby Championship, the quality of the competition improved even more.

Loftus Versfeld will be booming with excitement as Springbok fans from all over the country will come together in support of their country and with the hopes of the Springboks proving their supremacy from their first match in the tournament. Argentina is no walk in the park though and this match will prove challenging and exciting and not be missed.

The Springboks are both mentally and physically prepared and will be playing for national pride on national soil. Add to the fact that Springbok coach Heyneke Meyer is returning to his old Vodacom Bulls stomping ground, one can expect him to fire up the Springboks.

This will be a test match NOT to be missed.

“We are looking forward to giving fans an unforgettable experience shared with fellow fans, friends and family. It will be an honour to host the Springboks and Argentina as they are both world class teams, but the experience will only be treasured if shared in a packed stadium. We are proud to host this test and hope fans will show their support in massive numbers,” said Barend van Graan, CEO of Blue Bulls Company.

Due to road works around the stadium, The Blue Bulls Company would like to encourage the public to make use of Park & Ride services as well as the Gautrain.
Kick off will be at 17:05 at Loftus Versfeld and tickets are now on sale at Ticketpros via online bookings at bulls.ticketpros.co.za. Tickets prices start from as little as R150 per ticket. Park and Ride tickets can also be purchased from Ticketpros as part of your matchday package. Park and Ride pick up points will be from Menlyn Shopping Centre, East Rand Mall, Clearwater Mall, Cresta Shopping Centre and Cedar Square Shopping Centre.

Gautrain Bus Services will operate between Hatfield Stadium and Loftus Versfeld with the last bus departing Loftus Versfeld at 8pm. Standard train and bus fares apply.
Bulls Hospitality packages are on sale for R3250 per person for a Viewing Suite ticket, which includes a buffet meal, complimentary bar and parking ticket. For more information or bookings email hospitality@bluebull.co.za or call 082 805 3150.
