Johanna de Vos provided the following summary:
The defending champions in the Absa Provincial Championship played the Toyota Free State at Loftus B and were narrowly beaten (12-11) by the visitors after 70 minutes of not very exciting rugby. Not much action, but very good tackling by the Cheetah youngsters brought every move by the Bulls to an end. Like running into a brick wall.
Vodacom Blue Bulls (Under-19) 11 (8). Try: Philip Orffer. Penalties: Simon Bolze, Dewald Human.
Toyota Free State (Under-19) 12 (7). Tries: Lorenzo Gordon, Willandre Kotzenberg. Conversion: Andre Swarts.
