Experienced loose forward, Arno Botha, will lead a talented Vodacom Blue Bulls team in Durban this weekend as the team start fine-tuning their participation in the SuperSport Rugby Challenge next month. The Blue Bulls will take on a Sharks XV team that will also play in the new competition announced by SuperSport last week.
Botha is on the comeback trail following injury and will be keen to show the Vodacom Bulls coaching staff that he is due for a recall to Vodacom Super Rugby action. A number of other Super Rugby hopefuls will also be keen to leave a mark and get some game time, including former DHL Stormers midfielder Johnny Kotze, flanker Jannes Kirsten and flyhalf Francois Brummer. Kirsten was named at lock for this clash and will partnerAbongile Nonkontwana, who captained the Vodacom Blue Bulls Under-21s last season.
Coach Pote Human will also be keen to use the potent finishing of Luther Obi and Kefentse Mahlo to the fullest.
