Mafu takes over at Vodacom Blue Bulls Under-19

Kwezi Mafu has been named captain of the Vodacom Blue Bulls Under-19 team to take on the Toyota Free State Under-19 in Bloemfontein on Saturday.

Mafu will not only start at no8 in place of Ewart Potgieter, but will also take over the captaincy from JC Pretorius in two changes to the pack of forwards that started against DHL Western Province last weekend.

Potgieter will play off the bench. Also, at lock, Ryno Pieterse is out injured and replaced by Raymond Nel who moves from the bench into the starting team. Nel’s spot on the bench is taken by KP de Jager.

There are one change on the bench, with Andre van der Merwe comes in for Marco Fuhri as replacement hooker.

The backline is unchanged for this match.

The team is: Jerome Bossr, Zandre Kruger, Stefan Coetzee, Wian van Niekerk, Litha Nkula, Theo Boshoff, Richman Gora, Khwezi Mafu (c), Prince Gaoseb, JC Pretorius, Ruan Nortje, Raymond Nel, Mornay Smit, Werner Fourie, Luke Fortuin.
