The Sunwolves caused the shock of the season as they downed the Vodacom Bulls 21-20 in their Vodacom Super Rugby match in Tokyo on Saturday morning.
With the result, confidence at Loftus Versfeld dipped, with the Bulls now one win from five games. They are the first South African side to lose to the Sunwolves in the history of the competition.
A yellow card in the 68th minute, when the Bulls were leading 20-11, allowed the Sunwolves to storm back into the game, although the Bulls missed a penalty that could have won them the game when Francois Brummer missed with four minutes to go.
The Bulls now return home for their match next week against the Jaguares.
