He is the only South African to score 1000 points in Super Rugby in a career and is far from finished stacking up the points.
The 27 year old Morné Steyn kicked 21 points in the Vodacom Bulls 51-19 win over the Cheetahs in Bloemfontein on the weekend and in the process moved past the 1000 points mark (he is on 2012 at the moment).
It was not only the six conversions and three penalties that contributed to the win, but what also impressed was the way Steyn ran the cutter.
He made no mistakes, kicked with great tactical accuracy and manage to get his back away at full speed. There may be some young fly halves on the horizon, but Steyn proved that he is still pretty much the main man.
