The Vodacom Blue Bulls have a very simple task for the weekend – beat Griquas in Kimberley and stay in the hunt for Absa’s Currie Cup.
There is also another important aspect, according to coach Pine Pienaar – securing a bonus point.
“I believe will need 10 points out of our last two matches if we want to stay alive in the competition,” Pienaar said.
“We don’t have many options but to go for the bonus point win in Kimberley then,” he said.
Griquas have some locking issues due to injury, with George Earle on loan from the Lions, but is very good on its home turf.
The halfback combination of Sarel Pretorius and Riaan Viljoen in particular, could cut opponents to shreds with their skills.
Vodacom Blue Bulls captain Gary Botha will remind his team to stick to their patterns.
“We have a game plan that everyone believes in and if executed properly, will bring results. We know we have to play according to our plan and force it down on Griquas in order to beat them.”
