Vodacom Blue Bulls get stars back for semi-final
19 October 2011

The Vodacom Blue Bulls u.21 side received a boost ahead of their Absa u.21 semi-final against the Golden Lions at Loftus Versfeld on Friday with the release of four Vodacom Blue Bulls regulars for this match.

Francois Venter, Louis Fouché, CJ Stander and Arno Botha are all available for the 17:00 kick-off and coach Nollis Marais expressed his delight about it.

“It is great news for us and we welcome them back with open arms. They are all quality players as they have showed at senior level and we will be expecting some real input from them,” Marais said.

He also gave the captaincy to Stander.

“The immediate importance will be for them to adapt to the team, but as they have all played for us this year, it should not be any problem. We have massive respect for the Golden Lions and will not dare to underestimate them,” Marais said.

The team is: Clayton Blommetjies, Sampie Mastriet, Ulrich Beyers, Francois Venter, Courtnall Skosan, Louis Fouché. Lohan Jacobs, CJ Stander (c), Jono Ross, Arno Botha, Franco Mostert, Gerno Eksteen, Stephan Pretorius, Bongo Mbonambi, Juan Schoeman. Replacement: Jacques Momberg, Basil Short, JJ Breet, Dalton Davis, Xander Redelinghuys, JC Roos, Adri Jacobs.

Shannow@5.

Go Bulletjies!
