Anthony picks new lock pair
25 September 2012

Vodacom Blue Bulls Under-19 coach Paul Anthony picked a new lock combination for his side’s Absa Under-19 Provincial Championship clash against the Leopards in Potchefstroom on Friday.

Dennis Visser and Jacques du Plessis will provide the spark in the engine room. Visser played off the bench in their last match, against Western Province, whilst Du Plessis played on the flank for most of the season.

Anthony also decided to move Kefentse Mahlo from scrumhalf to wing, a move that will give Carlo Engelbrecht a start at scrumhalf.

Engelbrecht was injured in a car accident earlier in the year and this will be his first appearance in the competition this year.

The Vodacom Blue Bulls lost their position at the top of the log against DHL Western Province two weeks ago and will be very keen to get that back with a good performance against the Leopards.

The team to play the Leopards at 15h00 is: Jacques Rossouw, Kefentse Mahlo, Dean Moolman, Burger Odendaal (v/c), Ruwellyn Isbell, Francois Tredoux, Carlo Engelbrecht, Paul Janse van Rensburg, Ruan Steenkamp (c), Roelof Smit, Dennis Visser, Jacques du Plessis, Andrew Beerwinkel, Theunis Reynolds, Justin Forwood. Replacements: Hamish Herd, Jan Enslin, Jannes Kirsten, Christiaan de Bruin, Wandi Sampontsha, Juan Smit, Viaan Riekert/Jason Kriel, Pierre Schoeman.

Thanks Muzi. I Understand that Dries Swanepoel is also contracted by the bulls, but is currently injured, right?
do you perhaps have any news on his recovery?
