Live Player Chat: Chiliboy Ralepelle

The Vodacom Bulls' hooker Chiliboy Ralepelle will be available for a live chat on Tuesday from 10:00-10-30.

Ralepelle has been playing for the Blue Bulls since his schooldays and after playing for the SA Schools team for two consecutive years he made his provincial debut for the Union in 2006.

He also played Super Rugby for the Bulls in 2006 and in addition to that he made his test debut as a 19-year-old in that same year at Loftus Versfeld against the All Blacks.

Ralepelle has since them represented South Africa in three test matches and after injuries kept him on the sideline for the majority of 2007 and 2008 it is great so see him back in action.

You are invited to bombard Chiliboy with all sorts of rugby questions, but please keep your inquiries as crisp and clear as possible in order for him to answer all the questions.

The knee is fully recovered, thanks to the Big Man upstairs.
Thanks for asking.
Andile asked:
hi boer

how ar u guys feel about the overseas leg? how many games ar you guys planning to win?
Chiliboy Ralepelle answered:
Hi Andile, we are very excited going overseas with four wins under the belt - we are going to take it game for game and try to win every match.
neil asked:
Thanks for beating the stormers, it makes my life much easier in cape town. What went wrong in the lineouts against the stormers?
Chiliboy Ralepelle answered:
Hello Neil, it was a very tough match against the Stormers.
The Stormers contested very well in the lineouts!
CC asked:
Hi Chili

The game on saturday was very negative, did the negative feeling from the spectaters against certain Stormers influence the players at all.

Goodluck on the games overseas we are all behind the team and will watch every game even though we are not there
Chiliboy Ralepelle answered:
All derbies are always going to be a head-on clash. Saturday was no different, there was a lot of chirping on the field, but that is always the case when we play against the Stormers.

neil asked:
What is your opinion of luke watsons behaviour against the loftus crowd?
How long is your contract with the Bulls?
Chiliboy Ralepelle answered:
1) Luke is a mentally tough player and what the crowd did stirred him on, the more the crowd jeered him, the better he played. I think he really played well on Saturday.
2) Till the end of 2009
nqaba asked:
hi chill

Chiliboy Ralepelle answered:
Thanks a lot Nqaba!
CC asked:
When are you leaving for the tour, are you going a bit earlier seeing that you have the week off.
Chiliboy Ralepelle answered:
We only leave next week Monday.
They have decided to give us this week off to spend some time with our families.
Ruan asked:
Hey Chilliboy!
Congratz on the season so far, you are making our blue blood pump even harder. But about saturday, that first half wasnt great... Did you get frustrated by just having to run after the ball being kicked all the time?

i realise its a big part of the game under the ELV's, but how did you personally feel about that first half?

And did you get worried when the Stormers started coming back a bit in the second half? I feel we should (and could have) beaten them comfortably, had those two missed opportunities stuck. Is that how you and the team feel as well?

Ruan
Chiliboy Ralepelle answered:
Thanks Ruan,
kicking is a major part of the game nowadays and the Stormers also excecuted their kicks quite well and that resulted in everyone chasing after the kicks.
At times it makes you feel as if you aren`t in the game, because you are just chasing, but those kicks can also create opportuties (if you react well)

You can never be comfortable with any lead until the final whistle goes.
