Blue Bulls say good-bye to André van Tonder
05 November 2008 (07:25)
It is with sadness and regret that we have to inform you that the former Northern Transvaal flyhalf Andre van Tonder has died.
Andre, who has played in 35 matches in the 1960's for Northern Transvaal, died in his sleep on Friday.
He played his club rugby for Oostelikes as well as NKP and was at the side of Mannetjies Roux when Northern Transvaal played against the British Lions at Loftus Versfeld in 1962.
The Blue Bulls Company (Pty) Ltd would like to use this opportunity to send their condolences to Andre's family and friends in this extremely difficult time.
We trust that the Lord will comfort you in the months and years to come and that, based on Christ's resurrection, you will one day live alongside your husband, father, friend and teammate in God's presence.
Andre's funeral will be on Friday at 14:00 from the Dutch Reformed Church Fontainebleau in Rabie Street, Randburg.
Blue Bulls supporters are invited to send messages to info@bluebull.co.za and we will see to it that it will be forwarded to Andre's family.
