@lantic wins in Dubai

The @lantic Invitation team won all six their matches in the Overseas International competition in Dubai.

The South African schoolboys won the final against Wooden Blue, an English invitation team, by 29 - 10 on the "A" field in front of 30 000 spectators and to tumultuous applause by the large contingent of South African supporters, who would later the same evening celebrate the Springboks win.

According to Paul Treu, the Springbok 7's coach who attended the @lantic team's matches, he was very impressed with the team's performance against senior semi-professional players and intends drafting some of the @lantic players into the Springbok squad in the near future.

In their group matches the @lantic Invitation team beat CFG Old Boys' (England) 61 - 5, Racing Club (France) 52 - 5, Castaways (England) 28 - 14.

In the quarterfinals the South Africans overran the Royal Air Force team 42 - 5. In the semifinal, the schoolboys survived an incredibly physical encounter against Moscow University to beat them 15 - 5.

Speed king Jacques Erasmus was the team's leading try-scorer.

Other team members to excel were Tiaan Dorfling, Branco du Preez, Enrico Acker, Hoffmann Maritz and Piet Lindeque.
