Player of the Week – Kobus Marais

Vodacom Blue Bulls Under-19 flyhalf Kobus Marais continued his remarkable points contribution to the teams he plays for when he scored 19 points for his team in their 56-21 win over the Free State u.19 team.

Marais slotted eight conversions and scored a try for a personal tally of 21 points in the match. Marais has now scored 73 points for this side, the best in the Absa Under-19 Provincial Championship and also scored 21 points last weekend when he played for the Under-21’s agains the Golden Lions, won 26-20 by the Blue Bulls.

Marais’s accurate goal-kicking is complemented by his ability to play close to the advantage line and to break the advantage line. This has resulted in three tries to the former Waterkloof HS and Blue Bulls Academy u.18 player.
