Top 8 draw
Posted on Monday, August 15, 2005 - 14:41
The next two weeks could be telling for the Vodacom Blue Bulls’ Currie Cup hopes as they face the Cheetahs and WP in crunch encounters.

The strange format of this year’s competition means that the top four teams in each section after the qualifying round go through to the top 8, but only play the four teams of the other section on a home and away basis. This means that one of the Sharks, Blue Bulls and Lions will not make the semi-finals.

With this in mind, the Blue Bulls can hardly affort to slip in their next two matches and they will be throwing everything at the Cheetahs at Loftus on Saturday.
