The Vodacom Bulls to face the Chiefs in Hamilton on Saturday shows five changes and one positional shift, with Rudi Coetzee and Tim Dlulane both earning their first starts in a Bulls jersey.
The Bulls will run on with a new halfback pairing as Morné Steyn replaces the injured Derick Hougaard and Fourie du Preez swaps places from the bench with Heinie Adams. Wynand Olivier will be back at inside centre and will deputise as cover for both the flyhalf and fullback positions.
In an interesting move, Pedrie Wannenburg will start as number eight, with Jacques Cronjé at the side of the scrum. A number of pundits have touted this move and the move could well work in the Bulls’ favour.
Team management has intimated that no punches were pulled this week after the below-par performance against the Blues and that the players had to shoulder some of the responsibility for the loss. A more committed performance against the Chiefs is not negotiable.
