Orie, Stander to extend Pretoria stay
The Blue Bulls Company (Pty) Ltd on Tuesday confirmed the extension of contracts with promising junior players Marvin Orie and Joshua Stander. Both have signed till October 2016.
The 21-year Orie, a former Junior Springboks lock made his Vodacom Super Rugby debut in 2014 and is highly regarded as an up-and-coming player and leader. He was part of the Vodacom Blue Bulls Under-21 team that won the Absa Under-21 Provincial Championship in 2014. The 20-year old flyhalf Stander scored 98 points for the Vodacom Blue Bulls Under-21 team and also made his senior Absa Currie Cup debut this year.
Commenting on the two extensions, BBC's High Performance Manager, Xander Janse van Rensburg, said that Orie and Stander are sought-after players. "There was talk of Marvin and Joshua leaving us, but we have a lot of faith in their abilities. We have invested a lot in their development as well, as they joined us straight out of school, so it is pleasing to see the loyalty continue both ways. We are looking forward to their contributions in 2015 and beyond."

As dit waar is dat Matfield en Du Preez gaan oorvat sal dit wonderlik wees. Ek dink beide van hulle is meesters op hul gebied. Sal net hartseer wees as ons volgende jaar weer onder FL gaan sukkel. Die spelers is daar om 'n fantastiese span op die veld te sit.Die vraag is net of FL die moed sal he om die regte spelers te kies en ook sal aanpas met sy game plan.
Dink julle FL gaan net se "Ok hiers die span vat julle oor en good luck". Nee magtig man FL sal nogsteeds hoof afrigter wees en dalk maar net dalk sal Fourie en Matfield as
1) Hulp afrigters wees
2) as konsultante wees.
En kyk Matfield en Fourie is uitstekende slim rugby spelers maar ek glo nie hulle gaan sommer hulle "coaching" careers begin by die Bulle se hoofspan nie.
