Botha raring to go...
The Vodacom Bulls are enjoying a bye during this weekend's Vodacom Super Rugby action and this will help the squad to get rid of little niggles, aches and pains. Chomping at the bit will be flanker Arno Botha, who is now fit again, having played off the bench for the Vodacom Blue Bulls in the Vodacom Cup this weekend.
The rest will also result in a break for Callie Visagie (ribs), Lappies Labuschagne (SC joint) and Jacques-Louis Potgieter (hamstring), who will all again train next Monday.
The long-term injury list remains the same, but Burger Odendaal is now only two weeks away from returning to action, following a knee injury.
The rest of the lists are Duncan Matthews (knee, September), Flip van der Merwe (pectoral, April), William Small-Smith (foot, two months), Pierre Schoeman (ACL knee, July), Bandise Maku (pectoral, August), Werner Kruger (ankle, 10 weeks) and Carlo Engelbrecht (ankle, 10 weeks).

Almal weet waarnatoe hy instaat is of was, maar daardie dae is verby.

Daardie artikel is verkeerd. De Allende is van Spaanse afkoms.
wanneer trek die SA o20 groep saam? gaan dan seker vir Liebenberg moet afstaan so dalk is dit beter as hy nou gespaar word.
Wonder of Spies skaam voel oor sy spel as hy sien hoe Duanne speel? Nog nooit in my lewe n nr 8 gesien wat so bang is nie!
Selfs Jono Ross het meer as Spies gedoen...
At his stage I think he must still be behind Duane, Warren, Boom in the que.
Something that bogs me is why the WP scrum is so strong this year? Last season they were at best mediocre. Is it Vincent Koch? Is it the technique? Are their opponents weaker? They did very well against the Bulls and Sharks and basically swung both matches at these set pieces. Overall the Bulls scrummed better as a unit from week 3.
Brick M.what would you say?
Koch also made a difference IMO.
He naturally made contact with the brain power behind their scrumming technique, as opposed to our coaching staff that couldn't pose a single question on technique over a pint at the local pub.
The Stormers produced a PhotoCopy of the scrum technique employed by the Saracens.
Whilst this require an 8-Man Performance, there are a couple of subtle techniques, other than every single Player in the Forward Pack being Totally Engaged and "In-Touch" with the Scrum.
This was evident in the fact that the Loose Forward could gauge the resistance the Bulls provided on their own feed,
everytime the Bulls shored up on the Saracens feed, the Loose Forwards (including Neil) broke close to the scrum, correctly gauging that our Loose Forwards kept closer to the scrum in order to provide the needed resistance.
If this does not provide ample evidence in the Total commitment to the art of Scrimmaging by not only the First Three, I don't know what is.
The whole Pack was connected and committed, both in attitude and interest, something sorely lacking with us, but luckily one could see keener interest in the scrum from the 2nd and 3rd row against the Sharks & Cheetah's.
I always value your input here. So it seems that there are a few hard headed seniors out there in the Blue Jersey. Learning or the openness to Learn is a precious habit any team must embrace otherwise you are busted with 15 super ego's. Hopefully they are awake right now.
