The Vodacom Blue Bulls ran 12 tries past the Assupol Limpopo Blue Bulls in beating them 83-13 (24-10 halftime) at Loftus Versfeld in their Vodacom Cup North Section match on Saturday.
Prop Nqoba Mxoli opened the Blue Bulls account when he crashed over for a try within the opening five minutes. Flyhalf Kobus Marais kicked the conversion before dotting down a try of his own which he converted as well. Marais sunk a penalty goal to provide the Blue Bulls with a comfortable 17 point cushion after 20 minutes.

Flyhalf Anton Beswick made easy work of a penalty attempt which seemed to wake the visitors up and shortly after Fanie Raseroka scored a converted try.

Wing Travis Ismaiel allowed the Blue Bulls to have the last say of the first half when he crossed the whitewash to score. Marais was on target with the extras to give the Blue Bulls a 24-10 halftime lead.
The Pretoria outfit started the second half strongly with wing Jamba Ulengo scoring the first of his brace within minutes of the restart. Beswick's successful penalty goal for Limpopo would be the last time the visitors threatened the scoreboard.

It was an all blue affair for the remainder of the match as the Blue Bulls forced their opponents into a scattered defence as they opted to play a more open style of rugby. Centre William Small-Smith and flank Roelof Smit joined Ulengo and Ismaiel in scoring a brace with replacement flyhalf Joshua Stander adding three conversions.

Replacement utility backs Marquit September and Kefentse Mahlo rounded off the try scoring list to contribute to a good day at the office for the Blue Bulls.
