Kriel back for Under-21's against Free State

The Vodacom Blue Bulls Under-21 team to play the Toyota Free State in the Absa Under-21 Provincial Championship at Loftus Versfeld on Friday has been boosted by the availability of Junior Springbok star Dan Kriel. The strong-running midfielder was released from the Vodacom Blue Bulls Currie Cup side and will play alongside leading try-scorer, Marquit September, for this important clash. He replaces Adrian Maebane, who moves to the bench.

Vodacom Blue Bulls U21 coach Handré Marnitz also gave Dewald Human a first start at fullback, with Ganfried May shifting to the wing. Impi Visser is the new scrumhalf in place of Theo Maree.
Up front, Corniel Els is also back after making his debut for the senior side in Kimberley last weekend and will start at hooker and Riekert Hattingh comes in at flank for Corne Cooper.

Not long a go I spoke to someone in the Bulls camp about what is it that changed in the team because we are looking like a happier bunch?

His answer was straight forward: the ego's are gone.

A few senuor.guys had a very negative impact on the team this year, especially up front, and FL did not have the strenght to keep them in place.

So, let these players go. The young guns are ready.
