Sibahle Maxwane made the move from Cape Town to Pretoria to further his rugby career at the end of last season and he is already making waves at Loftus Versfeld.
The 21 year old wing had a sensational run with FNB Varsity Cup winners FNB UP-Tuks that saw him cross the whitewash no less than eight times.
His exploits in the FNB Varsity Cup saw the former Dale College Boys’ High School learner earning a call up to the Vodacom Blue Bulls in the Super Sport Rugby Challenge.
Senior rugby did not deter his knack for finding the try-line as he scored four tries including a hat-trick against the Hino Valke before the Vodacom Bulls came knocking.
Maxwane realised his boyhood dream when he was handed a starting Vodacom Super Rugby debut against the Emirates Lions earlier this month.
Unfortunately he left the field in the second half with a concussion and is busy following World Rugby’s Return to Play protocols but once fit to play Maxwane should pick up exactly where he left, scoring tries in the famous light blue jersey.
